January 2025 – St. Croix Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (SCUUF) has named Rev. Terri Burnor as minister. She succeeds Rev. Kelli Clement who became minister at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Ames, Iowa.

Burnor, a Unitarian Universalist (UU) minister and community organizer, will preach at SCUUF on a part-time basis on the first Sunday of each month and will provide other ministerial services. Her background spans congregational life, multifaith organizations and coalitions, and for-profit businesses as a marketing and communications professional.

“We are thrilled to welcome Terri as the new minister of our congregation,” said Betsy Peterson, chair of the SCUUF steering committee. “Her passion for fostering community, commitment to social justice and visionary leadership align beautifully with our values. We are excited to begin our next chapter together and look forward to the growth, connection and transformation this partnership will bring.”

In addition to serving the St. Croix UU Fellowship, Burnor is the acting executive director of the Minnesota UU Social Justice Alliance. She is a values-led leader whose ministry is grounded in a belief of our shared interdependency. Burnor has a history of service and a deep commitment to working for racial and gender justice and social change.

“I’m deeply honored to serve this vibrant, loving community as its new minister,” said Rev. Burnor. “Together, we have the opportunity to explore big questions, cultivate compassion and work toward justice in the world. I look forward to the journey ahead as we build relationships and create a more inclusive and spiritually rich future.”

Rev. Burnor lives on Dakota land in St. Paul with her spouse and their two dogs.
